  1. Emergency Management Analysts

    SC&A is seeking qualified TS/SCI-cleared analysts to support Federal mission and program activities related to FEMA’s Chemical, Biological, Nuclear, Radiological, and Explosive (CBNRE) program and other resiliency and emergency management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a college degree in applicable field and 5-10 years of relevant professional experience. PMP, CEM, CBCP and other related certifications viewed favorably. Duties will include supporting FEMA emergency management and other comparable client programs at the Federal, state, and local level. Work will include management and technical support to FEMA’s CBRNE Office; the evaluation of plans, policies, procedures, training, and exercises to enhance FEMA’s CBRNE capabilities; and coordinating with applicable intra- and inter-agency stakeholders to establish public education regarding appropriate safety actions in response to incidents, amongst other activities. The qualified candidate will demonstrate outstanding written and oral communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced team environment, have a positive and enthusiastic attitude, and have demonstrated the ability to conduct independent research and problem-solving. Excellent writing and research skills are a must, job will require flexibility to potentially work odd hours in support of emergencies and disasters and other related client needs.

  2. Hydrologist/Hydrogeologist

    SC&A is seeking a hydrogeologist with a minimum of 3 years of experience and a BS or MS (desirable) degree in geology, hydrogeology, geophysics, or closely related field, from an accredited institution. Education shall include, but not be limited to, 30 semester hours in chemistry, hydrogeology, geophysics, and applicable engineering sciences. We are looking for an individual with demonstrated knowledge of groundwater investigations, technical project support for environmental projects, field data and aquifer test analysis, and report preparation for projects involving environmental assessments. The applicant should have the ability to develop groundwater flow and contaminant fate and transport models using MODFLOW, MT3D, and one of the pre- and post processers (e.g., GWV, Visual Modflow, GMS). Familiarity with ArcGIS is desirable. Strong communications skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts for a more general audience are essential.

  3. Senior Hydrogeologist

    SC&A is seeking a a hydrogeologist with a master’s or doctorate degree in geology, hydrogeology, geophysics, or closely related field, from an accredited post-secondary institution. Education shall include, but not be limited to, 30 semester hours in chemistry, hydrogeology, geophysics, and applicable engineering sciences. This position requires a Professional Geologist (PG) license from a state licensure board. The candidate must have at least 12 years in technical leadership for other contracts/programs in area of expertise. Our office is Northern Virginia, convenient to the Metro.
